Butter yellow has emerged as the color of the season, capturing attention everywhere. Hailey Bieber dazzled in a Jacquemus peplum dress at her baby shower, while Sabrina Carpenter shone in a sparkly Miu Miu ensemble at the Variety Power of Young Hollywood event. Now, Kim Kardashian is embracing this chic hue.

As noted by Laia Garcia-Furtado in 2022, butter yellow is a flexible neutral that complements both your wardrobe and your personality, morphing into whatever you desire. Kim has truly made this color her own. On Friday, the reality star and entrepreneur was spotted leaving her son Saint West's basketball game, effortlessly juggling his bag along with a standout accessory: an oversized butter yellow messenger bag from ERL, retailing for $1,850.

Kardashian opted for a laid-back look (by her usual standards) for the game. She paired a white crewneck tee, knotted at the waist with sleeves rolled up for a muscle tank vibe, with raw-hemmed Balenciaga sweatpants and simple black flip-flops. Yet, as always, she elevated her casual outfit with that striking bag.

This isn’t the first instance of the Kardashian-West family supporting the Los Angeles brand ERL. Designer Eli Russell Linnetz also created North West’s streetwear-inspired interpretation of Simba for her performance of “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” at the Hollywood Bowl.
